Megan Daley's 'rave' review of Sharkman and Blowfish: World Domination

Sharkman and Blowfish-World Domination has been gathering some great reviews and fabulous feedback from kids of all ages.

Kids are loving it and want to know when the next book is due out! That’s a good sign they want to see more.

In the ‘Your Kid's Next Read’ podcast Episode 157, with Megan Daley and Allison Tait, Megan’s review of new books has given my book a great ‘rave’.

“This one is going to dominate, maybe not the world, but potentially the children’s book industry in Australia for a little while … you open it and have to sit down and read it straight away… a highly illustrated novel … the artwork is extraordinary … an absolute work of art … manages to bring together science, ecology and friendship into one gorgeous little book … wickedly funny … a total stand-out for me.”

Listen to Episode 157 at 05:30 minutes in. We love these podcasts. Thanks so much, Megan, for your support.

Wedge Gallery Exhibition 2022 - A virtual Visit-David Woodland

I had the privilege of exhibiting artwork at the incredible Kinokuniya bookstore Sydney in the Galleries - 500 George St Sydney. The exhibition ran for a month in July and displayed original artworks from Ernie’s Journey. The book was published by Berbay Publishing, and is represented by Scholastic Australia in schools and libraries. Integrated with the artwork were some development sketches and large prints aimed at the younger audience. This video is a short virtual walk though of the exhibition. The exhibition was a lot of fun for me, and very successful with Kinokuniya selling out of the Ernie’s Journey books in stock and 2/3 of the artwork on display. More importantly I had a fantastic opportunity to meet with so many people from such a variety of backgrounds. I was able to encourage some emerging artists and authors and explain my processes. Really, I learned as much as I gave back.
